  	"Til death do us part"... if but only for a short time. On January 24, 2004 Ruth Palm left this earth. On February 9, 2004 her husband Joel Palm followed. Joel is survived by his son, Joel and wife Sue; daughter Jane; grandchildren, Joel, Ryan, and Ashley; great granddaughter Brionna; brother Neal; sister Mary (Charlie) Moon of 29 Palms, CA; brother-in-law Ivan (Elaine) Carlson of Mt. Vernon; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Joel was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Minnie Palm; and sisters, Jean, Lois, and Gail. Viewing will be held at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, 2004 from 4:00 until 8:00pm. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Sautrday, February 14th at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville. A private burial will precede the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Stillaguamish Senior Center at Smokey Point, Marysville Fire District or a charity of your choice.
  Noteringar	"Joel was born in Marysville, WA to Fred and Minnie Palm, where he graduated from high school in 1938. In 1941 he entered the U.W. Army during World War II, serving in D Company 334th Engineers until his discharge in 1945. On his return he was employed by Weyerhaeuser. In the early 1950's Dad started his career at Meadow Sweet Dairies, which later became Foremost Dairies. He retired in 1982. On July 8, 1950 he married his best friend and the love of his life, Ruth Carlson of La Conner, WA. Joel cherished his role as husband, father, and later grandfather. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing poker with the boys, and he loved working in the yard and growing tomatoes to be shared with his family and friends. He also volunteered at the Stillaguamish Senior center at Smokey Point and was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church."
